1. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account data: email address, name, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- API usage data: request logs, query volumes, and latency metrics for service operation and billing.
- Content you store: memories, documents, and metadata you send via the API. This data is stored solely to provide the service to you.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain the MemoryKit service.
- To process billing and manage your account.
- To monitor and improve service performance and reliability.
- To communicate service updates and security notices.
We never use your stored content to train machine learning models.
3. Data Storage & Residency
We offer data residency in the European Union (Frankfurt) and the United States. You choose your region during project creation. Data is not transferred between regions without your explicit request.
All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Each project is fully isolated with scoped API keys.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Your content is retained as long as your account is active. You can export or delete all memories, entities, and relationships via the API at any time. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.
5. GDPR Compliance
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, export, and delete your data. We offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for B2B customers on request — contact hello@memorykit.io.
